  1. Sir,
Thank you for demonstrating the course details, lecture material and the assessment pattern in Psychology. The interactive session was very informative. Some of the papers (Adolescence, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, etc) are being studied by our students over here. However, the students there have much more variety in their courses. And it would be better even if we could introduce such courses in our college.
The format of practicals uploaded on their website is similar to our online journal which we have introduced this year for SYBA. I liked their concept of discussion forum where students post their academic queries only to be promptly answered by fellow students/ teachers.
The elaborate system of penalties in the case of late submission of course work seems to be efficient. The fact the University of Sussex has a software to detect plagiarism is impressive and a good practice. I would like to know more details about this software. Is it available in India? Can we have it too?
    Regards
    Charlane

  3. Hello Sir,
thank you very much for the interaction we had. it was a pleasure talking to you. many practices there are really admirable. the one i liked best is having 'essays'. it is something that we can easily adapt to our current system as we have assignments for ISAs. as far as open forum is concerned i doubt how far it will be successful here. my skepticism is for two reasons: 1. we have a lot of direct contact with our students. 2. all the students do not have access to net at home (assuming that their querries are answered in college.
nevertheless we will not know if we dont try.
    bye, take care
    Sobita.

  4. Dear Sobita,
We have 'Forum' on home page of our college website and all staff and students should use this in their respective subjects/papers.
