  3. Dear Sir,
The work that this centre is doing is interesting. Sir,I would be obliged if you could help me know the following:
    1) Is "Placement" also a part of the activity that this centre undertakes?
2)I would be interested to know then who does Placement and how do they do it?
3)Alumni are now considered/looked as a potential source of 'employers'also for an institution. Keeping this in mind How does Sussex manage their Alumni activities?

    Thank you and regards,
    Sameena

  4. The idea of getting experts from various fields to explain to the students various career options available to them is worth emulating. We intend to do so in our Career Counselling Cell where we are now starting with Aptitude Testing.

  5. Dear Sameena,
The Careers and Employability Centre invites employers to address the students to know the skills required to employ and not for recruiting the students. The centre offers individual guidance in writing CVs, practice interviews and provides vacancy information, and conducts several workshops to develop different skills. The alumni come forward to help in this process and strengthening the infrastructure as well.

  10. Dear Sharmila,
I could not make presentation on Careers and Employability Centre due to lack of time. This centre provides very good support to the students but reponse from students is not so good. This is my observation. We will meet in the College to discuss this.
