  1. Hello Sir, In the first place i on behalf of my department would like to thank you for sharing your time and taking the effort to exapand our horizon of 'social engineering' practices observed at a world class university.
Secondly, The teaching-learning practices observed in the department of Sociology are very practical and application oriented. Take any methodology of teaching E.g The Seminar method, it was interesting to see how teachers became facilitators. The quality of questions asked to the learners and the responces one wanted to invoke from the learners tested the analytical skills. In short this whole process is worth undertaking as it gives the learners the scope to be creative and also understand varying perspectives of a given phenomena.
Thirdly, I feel though we are constrained by the systemic requirements and obligations. We can to a certain extent, at least partly implement the practices that you shared with us. As this will be the intial step to the giant leap of Autonomy. As if we at Chowgules want Autonomy, then we ought to be the best and that will happen only if we can implement such "Beings creating" methodologies. Which will definately result in independent socially progressive beings and not merely degree holders.

    Thank You
    Sachin Moraes

  4. Dear Mrs. Aparajita,
Research, field studies and employment opportunities are used as some of the strategies to attract students. The training programmes for ATs are online and workshops are also conducted. Teachers are expected to work for 15 hours per week and they may have to teach more than one course. The students are oriented towards research through seminars and essays from the beginning of their degree programme.
